A recent article posted on indiewire focuses on the new release “Barrage.” The article walks through the main themes throughout the film. The film stars actress Isabelle Huppert who plays a magnificent role of a single mom struggling to find her identity and role in being a single mother while struggling with depression of her own. The film itself is somber feeling that demonstrates challenges faced with three generations and an old wound the is open. The film is obviously very realistic and according to the article the actresses help prevent the film to stray in any way. According to the article the film has a long take during a dream sequence which seems bizarre. In my opinion this would only help to portray a “dream-like” feel to the film. This article has some very interesting points which left me wanting to see the film for myself!
